Water leak at the toll window.

Yahoo Message Number: 114690
Greetings!

I have noticed rain water intrusion at the wipe seal of the sliding toll window, but cannot determine where it's coming through.

I've troubleshot with the hose, starting at the bottom and working up, and it appears to be confined to the bottom. However, I don't know what to do about it.

Is the wipe seal replaceable?

Has anyone experienced a similar problem?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Stay safe and be well,

Jay,

On my 05 Inspire I had what sounds like a similar issue. I had water from rain running down the channel toward the front of the coach and water dripping on the carpet under down the wall onto the carpet.

I found there were no drain holes in the front half of channel forward of the toll window. There were to drain holes on the left side of the toll window divide, but none on the right side.

My fix was to use some silicone to seal in the channel at the mid point of the two pieces of glass. This kept the water from running down the channel and allow the water to go out the weep hole on the exterior.

I hope this makes sense, it did stop the leak at the bottom of the channel for me.

Wow! Jock, a voice from the past! I hope all is well with you.

That makes perfect sense, and I'll check it out tomorrow. Years ago, I drilled a hole at the low point of the channel and cut down a weep hole cover to cover it, solving the accumulation of water at the bottom - mostly from condensation on cold mornings. I didn't consider managing the water at the higher level.

Sorry to hear you sold your Inspire. Ours is going strong at nearly 13 years.

Best regards,

Jay
