MCD shades

Has anyone put MCD shades in the front windshield in place of the curtains on 01 Affinity or Magna. I'm not sure they will work with the dash configuration an curved windshield. If so I'd sure like to see pics of how you did it. My coach has the little plexiglass shades about 18"x8". They don't help much in the afternoon when driving west. With the foreword mounted drivers seat your in the full sun , it gets pretty warm. Any other ideas would be great.

Thanks

Re: MCD shades
Here's what we had installed.

We just put in two - one for the driver and one for the passenger. Each one has its own power switch. They're handy and functional. That said, the MCD's I've seen present a more finished image. But like you, I wonder how they would fit in our curved cockpit. Our coaches are very similar. Our coach is in storage at the moment but I'll get a picture next time I pay it a visit.

07 Magna. We had Premiere in Eugene OR install MCD in front window, drivers side and passenger side. Look amazing. Fully integrated and automatic buttons for both the privacy shade and the sun screens. I wondered about the curve/angle of window and such. Must say everything looks incredible. They installed wood elements to hide box and the shades mechanics. Looks classy, rich and original factory. Couple thousand bucks but the idea of not replacing the original accordion curtains.... we didn't even think twice.

Can you post some pics as im thinking to do the same thing? Did the have to eliminate the original sun shades as to me they look like would be in the way?
Thanks!

Hi Joe. Yes the eliminated the sun shared on the drivers and passenger windows. I can take a picture tonight when I get home and send to you, (If I remember correctly we're #6765 - not the original owner but sure do love her!)

I'm having MCD shades installed at Premier as well. Part of the "fire" recovery. I'll let everyone know how they look when I get the coach on the road in 3 weeks. Doing just the front windshield area.

You might want to call Olstrom Custom Coach about the Automotion Shades he installs. Very neat especially for the curved windshield. More reasonable than MCD. 520-624-2024

They were installed at the factory on our '08 Allure on all 3 sides of the cockpit. We LOVE them. SO easy to use and they have such a clean look vs. drapes. Well worth doing, we would say...

Not sure how to incorporate photos in a post but here's the link to the pix I promised in my earlier comment.

The driver can reach both switches to lower/raise the visors.

Here's my 01 Allure. I also had new boxes made around the windows. The material around the old ones were uncleanable. Total job was power shades up front, install my 40" Samsung tv, making or rebuilding front cabinets, and adding the shades to all other windows, along with new oak boxes for each. I was charged $8000 by Davis cabinets. Worth every Penney.
