Michelin Program

I started the process of ordering a pair of Michelin X Line Energy Coach tires for the front of my '06 Magna (315's). Unfortunately, they've been backordered for close to three months with no estimate about when they will start producing them again. As I told the company rep, "it's pretty hard to sell a tire when you don't even make them". She didn't see the humor in that.

I'm going to go with Toyo 111's as a substitute. Not cheap, but probably $200 less that the FMCA price for the Michelins.

So, if you're thinking of the ew Michelins, it's best to think WAY ahead.

We did 8 Toyo 295/80's last year and after several thousand miles we actually like them better than the Michelins they replaced. The savings were significant as well, and they were in stock with very fresh dates. Safe travels

Jeff, Did you ask Toyo about their newer 144's? I bought them for my Inspire and like them a lot.

The coach is in storage for the summer so I cannot check the tires. I do know they are 295/80/22.5's but I didn't look too closely at the time of installation last June to see if there was anything else indicated on the sidewalls. The Michelins these replaced were a disappointment. They were badly cracking on the sidewalls after 5 yrs, treated regularly with 303 protectant and much of that time undercover. I honestly feel that Michelins are somewhat like the "Emperor's new clothes" amongst aficionados, and the outrageous price and limited availability only seems to enhance their status. Loved the OEM Toyos when we bought the coach new, and tried Michelins due to the hype. Love my new Toyos.
