Tag axle brake sticking.

Yahoo Message Number: 115981
I have been having some issues with my passenger side tag axle brake locking up sometimes. Last time was when I was leaving an RV park in St. Louis. After pulling out of the back-in site and stopping to attach the toad I drove the short distance to the exit. Worked fine so far. Then I pulled onto a busy, but narrow highway and the tag was locked. Checked air pressures and pulled off to the side of the road. Applied the brake several times to get it to release but to no avail. Tried backing a few feet and still locked. Since I was on a narrow road, I raised the tag and eased forward in first gear until I could pull into a safe area. Lowered the tag and it started working normally. This has happened 3 times on this last trip, though this one was the worst. All previous times tag released when I tapped the brakes. 2008 Allure 470 Sunset Bay. It is going in the shop, but would like to know if anyone else has had a similar issue. Thanks!

Those should be Disc brakes all around, on that era Allure(?). Most larger chassis shops should be able to check the calipers for proper operation.

I don't know chassis shops in that area, but hopefully someone will chime in with a recommendation. And hope they can add more info to the below Captain Obvious comments:)!

Bad or dirty calipers? Bad ABS sensor?

Please keep us posted on root cause... and good luck,
