I had the same problem. Ask him if he had anyone working on the coach. This happened to me when I took the coach in to have the tires rotated and an untrained technician jacked the front of the coach at the generator tray and bent the tray and the rails. You can diagnose by disconnecting the screw drive from the front of the generator tray and seeing if the screw drive will drive in/out with the tray disconnected. If this is the case, then you need to take it somewhere (machine shop / Old School Truck repair place, etc) where they will put the coach on a lift and go in and literally straighten it out where its bent. Heating it up, clamps, chains, hydraulic spreaders, clamps etc....
They were able to straighten my tray for about $400 which the tire repair place repaid (they felt horrible about not supervising the technician). The tray is still slightly bent and the gap between the body piece on the front of the tray and the coach body above it is slightly larger on one side.
I tried to see if I could get a new tray and they are obsolete and the business that made them is no longer in business. Next step would be to have a new tray completely manufactured, which would mean swapping out the geneset etc, etc which would be a really expensive proposition.
