Radiator Replacement Help/Advice Requested

Yahoo Message Number: 116465
Hello All,
We have a 2005 Inspire 330 DaVinci with a CAT C9 and side radiator. I am in the early stages of replacing the side radiator and have some questions regarding this project for anyone that has been through this before:

1. Do I have to remove the CAC before dropping the radiator?
2. Do I have to remove the hydraulic fan assembly and hydraulic hoses before dropping the radiator.

3. Where is the best place to position my 20 ton jack to raise the rear for radiator removal clearance? (plan on using 4 X 6 's to create a platform for the tires to rest on)
Any help/insight would be very much appreciated!!

The Radiator, CAC and fan mechanism are all bolted together. OMC raised the coach about 5 ft in the air and lowered the complete unit with a fork lift. If you are replacing the old radiator with a copper replacement you are going to have a very heavy unit to raised into position. When the unit was out they tested the CAC and it was also leaking. I now have about 3 extra pounds of boost.

I Agree with Daniel, I had a leak in the hydraulic cooler (aluminum). Once into it, all three units needed to be redone. The Charge Air Cooler (lower half had the leak), Radiator, and Air Cond Condenser. I ended up cutting out the support bracket (replacing after) in front of the radiators to get them out, I did not have to raise the coach, it was very close. I brought them to the local radiator repair shop who sourced new cores for two and found a slightly bigger one for AC. Much improved performance and cooling. Not cheap though.
