Electric window shades

My 08 Magna has electric window shades. One was coming lose and when in the process of reattaching it I noticed a yellow and a black slot on one end. I pushed a screwdriver into both of them. They must be switches as now the shade moves up or down when activated but does not stop. I think the switches have something to do with the programming of the shade to limit it's travel. Does anyone know how this works?

Yes they are limit switches. Black sets upper limit. Yellow sets lower limit.
