Toyo tire pressure

Yahoo Message Number: 9053
I am new to this forum and also new to a'99 affinity. I have tried to find a graph or chart that will list tire pressures at different coach weigths.

I have talked to a couple of Toyo dealer locally with no answers.
I have seen such a chart for other tire companies and really like to refer to something other than shooting from the hip when adjusting pressures for weight.

I know I will enjoy my new coach and this forum. I hope I will be able to contribute.
Thanks, Larry

Larry, congrats on your new coach purchase. As far as the Toyo chart for tire pressure try calling Toyo at 800-442-8696 (West) or 888-444-8696 (East). They sent manuals I requested with no problem. Hope this helps.

Larry:

Toyo has a very good spreadsheet in their brochure. It shows the air pressure for various sizes, weights, and whether single or duals.
I think Les Schwab would be a good place to get one. If you don't have any luck let me know and I'll try and scan mine and attach it to an email to you.

Tom, I checked the files and there it was, I guess it is for Toyo, that is what the file stated but the chart made no specific tire manufactor, Thanks for the help, I had been doing a 'search' with no luck.

Thanks to ALL who helped out on the tire press question. I will take this in to my local Les Schwab store and ask them why they do know about it.

Thanks again, Larry

I agree with Dale and Candace...call Toyo and ask for their RV Tire Customer Service. The fellow we spoke with there faxed us a bunch of papers that were duplicates of the Toyo Tire Manual we had, but he walked me through all the numbers. Get that "formula" for weighing your rig from them, weigh the rig per their directions (very clear), then call them if you need further guidance. They were excellent with their help.

You're doing the right thing!

With all this talk about tire pressure, does everyone know what the speed rating is on the Toyo tires, it is 65mph so when you drive at 75mph keep this in mind. Les Swab says they are going to raise the speed rating to 75 but the Toyo engineers that were at FMCA in NM said that will not happen. We always keep our tires inflated higher then the charts show to give us room to lose some air without running to the nearest truck stop each time we are down 5 pounds. That allows us to go back home and add air without doing it on the road. We do not run any tire below 90psi
