Toads, Lexus and others.

When purchasing my coach, I checked around Arizona to see if my Lexus Land Cruiser could be towed. Dealers for Toyota and Lexus in addition to a local coversion firm were contacted and none of them indicated it could be done. When in Eugene at Hitch Pro having my new Honda CRV converted the owner told an interesting story about his first Lexus conversion. A Lexus dealer in San Francisco was not about to pull anything else by a Lexus behind his $1,500,000 coach.
He contacted Japan and explained the problem. Engineers looked at it and felt it could be done without damage. Hitch Pro has been doing them, Lincolns, Cadilacs and others ever since. I can agree about the noise in my CRV, the only thing louder was flying a Commanche 400, couldn't hear anyone talk! Speaking of the CRV, so far the air conditioning hose was causing a loud noise when changing gears, it was hitting the fender. Two weeks ago my orange trouble light came on and took it to the first dealer. They indicated they could look at it in a week. Then it was taken to the dealer in nearby Mesa, Arizona. They took it in immediately and found the problem. An accelator switch with something to do with the emmission system was bad, but it may be a few weeks before a new switch can be installed, there are none in the country. It does not cause harm, but if another one goes that is serious, we will never know. 8,000 miles and 5 months does not speak well of Honda! Have driven mostly Lexus or Mercedes though the years and with what we know now, we would not have purchased the Honda. John
