If you choose to reply to a message on the forum, please follow the following guidelines:
1. If you receive "Individual Emails", and you use your favorite email program (Outlook, Outlook Express, etc) to reply to a message, PLEASE:

(a) Change the subject line if the topic has changed (I was amazed at the number of unrelated topics that carried the subject "Annette and Anthony Martini", which was a spam message); and

(b) highlight and DELETE unrelated links and ads at the bottom of the message.

2. If you use the web site to reply to messages, PLEASE:

(a) Take the opportunity to select the recipient (either the FORUM to share useful information with everyone, or the AUTHOR if the reply is not important to the purpose of the forum -- "thank you", "when you you going to be in whichemucha", etc); and

(b) change the SUBJECT line if appropriate, and (c) highlight and DELETE unrelated information at the bottom of the message; and

(d) possibly even DELETE some of the extra information in the original message and/or its other replies. Leave enough information to allow members to figure out what you are replying to, or restate in your message what the response pertains to.

3. Post your name, coach year, model and serial number at the
bottom of the message.

By observing this simple suggestions, we can have a cleaner, easier to use forum -- well at least as easy as the Yahoo forums allow.

Speaking for forum hosting, I hope to review how the forum is used (Individual Emails, Daily Digests, or Web Access), do a survey and post the results and recommendations. One of the problems (real or imaginary on my part) is how important it is to be able to post via email -- which most other forums do not offer, and attributes to the clutter in the forum replies. With a survey, I hope to determine how many people rely on posting via email. Certainly, I believe, in the RVing community where we might have 15 minutes in a RV Park Office, quickly receiving and post email responses is important. No need to open a forum discussion on this yet, but feel free to share you comments with directly with me -- herbyahoo@... .
