Investment Protection

It's good to know some folks have enough resources as not to consider their Motor "Coach" an investment. But us less fortunate Lower Three CC model owners, may want to keep our Coaches in as good of shape as possible for when we Win the Lottery and can trade that 'Investment' in for One of the Three Upper CC Models.

Lee....I never ever said I did not keep my coach in good shape. It just so happens that after 2 years of owning our 2002 Affinity it looked like it just drove out of the show room. We sold it to a private party....we did not trade it in...that is the way we maximize our return on our original cost. Your comments were IMHO out of context and unwarranted. I for the life of me, cannot understand why we all of a sudden have this delineation between lines of CC.......It is not an investment (except in lifestyle and recreation). I would think that if we all had all of our money in a depreciating investment we would be in big BIG trouble. Most of the time an investment goes up in value, not down. Candace Hollick

Hi, Lee,

Have to tell you I don't consider my motorhome an investment. I expect my investments to appreciate in value; my motorhome, not matter which model, will not appreciate. I'll keep it in as good shape as possible and when I am ready to trade up, it will either sell for a good price or I will get good trade-in value for it. As our friend Ree says, our ownership of a Country Coach is not an investment, it is a life style. (Thanks again, Ree; I keep using your line!)

At your suggestion, we are headed for Canyon, TX tomorrow and the Palo Duro Canyon State Park. You must be at home in Victoria - Texas rules! Thanks for all the great suggestions.
