Radiator Pressure Cap

John: I assume that your Coach has the Hydronic Heating system with Two separate Coolant Circuits. So you can put on a Higher Pressure Cap. On earlier posts it was stated that, on 'older models, pre-'02, a low (7 Lb.) pressure cap was because of the Engine Coolant and Hydronic System are All One circuit (a BAD thing for the length of coolant lines that can leak Vital Engine Coolant.) I have the overflow hose routed into a 1/2 gallon plastic catch jug and periodically recycle the small amount I collect back inot the coolant tank, when the sight glass gets less than half full..

Not sure what I have, 2 separate temp gages for engine and transmission, I have seen both gauges up above 212 degrees, pressure is well above 7 pounds at sea level and higher at altitudes. One of my neighbors invented the valve that automatically sucks the discharged fluid back into the system when cool. He collected 50 million from foriegn car makers for patent infringment. I think the patent has expired by now. It seems strange that there is no recovery system on our coaches. John 2002 Allure
