Webasto Heater

Anyone have a Webasto heater leak? One where the coolant drips from the housing and out the exhaust pipe?

I have such a heater and I fear that the problem I had with the heater at time of purchase [ the unit was overheating and causing the 'high temp' limiter to shut it down] may have contributed to the trouble I have now. I think, and CC tech agrees, that the heating chamber is cracked and allowing coolant into the combustion area.

Sounds expense! That is if I can get someone to work on the unit, I have called Webasto with little help so far.

Anyone on the Westcoast know of a service center that can help? I won't take to the dealer that sold the coach, they took 5 days to bleed the air out of the system and probably contributed to the heater's trouble by trying to run the heater in an 'over temp' condition.

Thanks, Larry

I realize this is an older system not geneally used in today's coaches but I have one and it is driving me crazy.

The unit seems to be getting very loud, both burner and the blower, I'm worried the neighbors in the park will start to complain.
The heater does a great job of keeping the coach warm, but the noise has me using other modes of heat for fear I will cause more problems to the unit if I continue to use it.
I'm in AZ. trying to stay dry and warm and could take the coach to a service center, but don't know of one that services the Webasto, most I've talk with , claim to have never heard of a Webasto.

I am open to any ideas and recommendations.

Thanks for the help!

Have you tried their web site at

http://www.webasto.us/am/en/am_rv.html ? Also try a Google search on service manuals. Sometimes you will find a third party web site that has the service manuals. An example of this would be "Marks RV" or rvrepairmanual.com.

Vehicle Sytems who builds the Aqua Hot and Hyrdo Hot can service your Webasto as they use the Webasto burner in both their products............
