1996-era 32' Intrigue

We were flooded out of our Monaco Windsor by hurricane Ivan, and are considering replacing it with a 32' Intrigue of the same vintage. Any experience and/or comments regarding the durability and maintenance of this coach, or an equivalent Allure, would be greatly appreciated.

I would want a 98 unit in order to get the ISC engine the newer electronic systems and the dual pane glass. Be willing to put on new tires shocks and filters etc. TWI

I hadn't heard about replacing shocks. Do good ones(Bilsteins etc) wear out?

Many thanks for the good tip! That's exactly the kind of information we were hoping for.

Not all '98 CC's have the ISC ... our '98 Intrigue #10571 doesn't. But it does have the 325 hp/915 ft lb "C" Cummins and dual pane glass. It's very well equipped.

Bill,

I have a friend here in Durham, NC that may want to sell his 1998 Intrigue, 40". It is in great condition. You can call him or e-mail (Henry), henryslaughter@... or call 919-730-7729. Henry would be happy to talk with you.

Hi Jim,

Many thanks for the tip; it would be nice to buy so close to home! We're looking for the short, 32' coach, though, so we can get into small parks, etc.

The All electronic 330 ISC engine came out in the '99 models.

Some of the Allures used monroes and they were a problem. The coach should have KONI's is its an Intrigue and they were guaranteed for five years. It just depends on what level of softness they were set at and how thge coach was driven. TWI

Not so, any coach ordered at or after FMCA rally in March of 98 got the 99 chassis and the ISC engines. I had one and did it hurt during trade time.

Don't hesitate to try to negotiate tires, filters, etc., from the selling dealer.... if you buy from a dealer.
