Ride height valves

Yahoo Message Number: 13507
Does anyone know the model of the Hadley ride height valves on my 99 Intrigue, number 10895. A Country Coach service rep indicated that the Haldex valve is the only one they now supply and that it is an exact replacement for my Hadleys, but a friend tells me that the Haldex is an instant response valve while the Hadley is not, so that they are not interchangable. Any help would be appreciated.

forrestroan,

I have a very late '98 chassis Intigue that should be the same as yours. Both ride height valves failed this summer. CC advised me that they went to the Haldex valves because the have less plastic.
Other than less plastic they look exactly the same. They mounted up exactly the same. Mine have worked great. I have felt no difference.
The CC part # is 24691 and I paid $117.82 a piece.

Hope this helps............

I have rewplace three valves on my coach that originally had NewWay valves. I had replaced the right rear about a year ago with another NewWay valve. It lasted a year. I then had to replace both rear valves in August and went with Haldex valves. No problems so far.

I remember reading in the installation instructions that it was advised to not mix the valves in a system with non-IR type valves.
From that I would think that as long as all the valves are replaced at the same time, the Haldex IR valves would be compatible. I had confirmed the requirements on my coach with CC before I did any of the changes. Purchasing the valves from CC is about the best deal I have found. Just over $100 each. The first one (NewWay) I had purchased locally and it was $214.

My 99 Intrigue has Hadley valves, not NewWay valves which are used on coaches from 2000 on. Actually, the NewWay valve is not made by Haldex. Apparently NewWay has been bought by Haldex. I was told by a Country Coach factury service rep that the Haldex(the only valve they now stock) would exactly replace my Hadley valves and I order them. I have sence found that the valve are totally different, both physically and operationally.
