Low oil pressure indication

I have been experiencing a low oil pressure indication at idol. The analog gage reads about 5psi at 600 RPM and about 45 psi at 1700 RPM. Called Cummins and they asked if I had a check engine light, which I don't. They said this points to an indicating problem. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem, and if anyone else has changed the "sending" unit on the engine?

I had the same problem with one of my coaches---can't remember if it was the 2000 Intrigue or my present 03 Allure. Mine was going to zero at idle. The sending unit was replaced and no more problems, although the pressure at idle when engine was at operating temp was still pretty low.
