I-10 Beaumont to Lafayette, LA

Can someone tell me about the conidtion of I-10 between the two cities.
Las time we came through there they were actually working on it but had not finished it. Go to make a quick run to New Orleans in two weeks and just wondering if it is finished and in good shape.

Thanks in advance

Egon,

We came through there last in late December and all was good.

Thanks Tammy,

For many years that stretch has always been very rough and we always went two lanes to Lafayette then down to I-10 to New Orleans. With your input we will take I-10.

Thanks again,

Egon

I just came thru there from the east in a new demo coach and as I remember, the road was as rough as it was 5 years ago. About 10 miles from the Texas border, they smooth it out so you will forget the rest of it.

Egon,

I didn't think about how rough the road was. Our CC rides soooo much nicer that our previous gas MH that even a rough ride is smooth.
As far as I remember the all lanes were open, maybe rough but open.

We came through that section in October last year in our fifth wheel and truck and the section from MM40 to MM10 is the roughest road we have been on in America and that includes the Tok Cutoff in Alaska (which we did in June in the same rig). Next time we'll take the 2 lane.
