2006 INTRIGUE

Yahoo Message Number: 15276
Hi Group, Damon sent me some pictures of the 2006 Intrigue. Major changes in and out.
Will look forward to seeing the actual product but doubt I will ever own one unless we win the lottery (do I need to buy tickets?) or wait until 2010 for a used unit GGGG
May look for a gently used Magna 03/04 later in the year or earlier if DOW hits 15000.
No, I'm not holding my breath! D (K doesn't know I'm writing this)

Maybe its just me but I could not see the picture. You might be better off putting it into the groups picture folder.

I am just a little curious as to what everyone thinks about the new Intrigue from the photos on file. Kind a looks like a Magna without the roof awnings, with side opening bay door, no chrome on the front and BIGGGGG! mirrors.
Looks like the picures were taken out side across from the offices. I'll reserve my opinions on the inside until more photos arrive, however, that ceiling!
TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731. PS wonder how much it weighs?

I am considering upgrading from my 2002 36' Intrigue to a 2006 42' Intrigue with a 525 HP Cat engine. I would appreciate any comments--both pro & con, regarding the 2006 Intrigue from those of you who own one. Anything in particular I should be looking for or should be cautious about?
Thanks to all who contribute to this forum. I read it regularly and have learned a great deal.

Fred,

2002 models were made prior to much National influence and I consider 2002 a "prime" year. Of course I am prejudiced as we own one that year. However, ours is a 42' and that is what you are talking about going to. We REALLY like the layout of our coach with 42'. That extra six feet means a lot. We only have 2 slides though, which is all we want. (I personally do not want to own a coach with a front passenger side slide due to basement storage blockage and awning blockage) and the one you are looking at likely has four.
It took me over a year to get all the bugs out of mine, something to think about if your current coach runs well. Likely if you buy a used newer one you will spend some time and lots a bucks de bugging your new one.
Seems like the interiors went more "formal" with 2004-2006. We like our South West semi casual interior. Actually we love our coach and would not consider selling it. I think it would be hard to improve it. Perhaps a better engine braking system might be nice though.

Hello,

I am looking into buying a 2006 Intrigue. There is a line from the turbo to the block that has a rubber hose leaking some oil where it attaches to the block. Does anyone have any experience with this?

There typically are two lines. one oil supply line under pressure and a return tube going back to block. These are important since they provide all the lubrication for the turbo. Inexpensive hose to replace just buy a high quality hose. They tend to be braided stainless high pressure hoses.
Hope this helps.

What does anybody think about the new 2006 Intrigue. (see pictures in photo section). I wish there were more photos to see. Kinda looks like a Magna without the topper awnings on the outside and the front piece of chrome. The inside, well lets see what someone else has to say.. I hope Debbie is listening.
