Wabasto Heater

Has anyone seen the recall by the Federal Government for Wabasto heaters? It states the burner tubes are not of specified material and may fail prematurely. If so the unit will get hot and cause a fire.
I ask CC about it and only got the answer that they had just heard about it. The recall came out Feb 15.

-gpisel, I have not heard of the recall however, I just replaced the [description is directly from the Webasto parts list] 'combustion chamber' and the 'heat exchanger ass'y'. I am not sure what the "burner tube" is as it is not described in the parts list that I have. I would guess the burner tube is the combustion chamber.
My unit was so badly cracked that it leaked fuel all the times durning use or static. I finally had to clamp off the lines to avoid fuel dripping out of the exhaust.

Were did you see this recall info?

Larry, Burner tube is the combustion chamber. However the fuel leak is unrelated to that .

Larry, sorry to hear that. Most of the problems I 've seen with the 2010 are simple fine tuning or nozzle replacements.
