Changing coolant in a side mount generator

Has anyone developed any easy way to add coolant in a side mount Onan generator? This challenge does not happen on the front mount slide- out generators, only the bay mounted Onan. When I open my side bay door for the generator compartment, I only have a few inches of space above the coolant cap. With this space limitation, it becomes very difficult to find a way to add coolant without at least four hands, a funnel and a long piece of tubing. Draining the old coolant is easy.
Refilling it is a challenge. Any other ideas?

Bob,

Go to an automotive store and purchase a tube filler for a coolent container. It is about 12 inches of small tubing that fits on a one gallon container and it has a small valve. Just hold the bottle upside down and open the valve. Never saw one till I purchased one last year. hopefully 12 inches is enough.

Hi Bob,

About half the coolant is in the radiator and the rest is in the engine. Be sure you drain the engine also if you are doing the biannual maintenance.
