Dining chairs sliding when travaling

We have a 1999 intrigue cook nook

The dining chairs slide when we are travaling.
We would like fixes anyone has.

Had thesame problem on our Intrigue, put a rubber backed throw under the table, it solved our problem

We put two small carpet runners that match our other carpeting under the front legs of the chairs.

In our 2000 Intrigue, we Non-Slip Line It (Camping World, Holiday 2001 Catalog, Page 71). We put it under the back legs of the chair. Works pretty well unless you get on really rough roads. When we get to our campground, we roll it up (takes minimal space) and stow it until we take off again. My wife uses it between dishes and pots and pans ... greatly reduces noise as you go down the road.

We have just acquired a 2000 Intrigue with tile floor and experience the same problem.
Short term we will use a non slip rug or something similar but for a long solution I am thinking of installing a chair leg retainer as found on the new Dutch Star coaches.
For those who haven't seen one I will try and describe it. Essentially it is a small open box (they use wood to match interior cabinets) that is attached to the side wall at floor level below the center of the table.
The open box (about two inches tall) is just large enough to hold the bottom of two chair legs (the front legs).
When traveling you simply place the chair legs in the box and that is sufficient to hold the chairs during the journey.
If you have a chance, check out the Dutch Star and see how it is done.

We had the same problem with our Intrigue and my wife used a bungy cord and hooked the two chairs together and that kept them in place.

I pried the hard round pads off the bottom of the back legs and, using the same nail, I nailed on square rubber pads from the hardware store. The chairs stay put unless it is really violent. Jerry in NM.

I use a bungee cord to tie the two chairs and a trash can to the leg of the table. This has worked well for me. I also put a rug under the table after I read suggestions in the Diesel-RVs and Monaco group but the bungee cord works best.

This is a busy group. Select the "daily digest" instead of "individual mails" to keep the number of e-mails you receive more managable.

This is also a very busy group. I recommend the "daily digest" option again.
