Any idea out there about my '98 intrique kitchen slide that wont? Parking brake is on, but the hwh stays with the travel mode lite on instead of parking brake lite on, and the slide out key on voice comes

on, but the rocker switch has no effect! I assume its the switch operated by the parking brake pull handle, where ever that might be. thanks gary phillips

I had a similar problem with my bedroom slide. CC tech said he has seen a lot of these rocker switches go bad. I found, that If I aggressively worked the switch with force, I could get it to work.
Once I changed the switch, problem solved. HWH sent me the switch.

Gary,

I am not sure that this is same monster, but my folks have an Alpenlite 5th wheel and the bedroom slide all of a sudden wouldn't roll out (It uses a rack and pinion set up). Anyway, after searching for an hour we finally found the control board. I noticed that there was a set of relay contacts that controlled the voltage to the drive motor. Between those contacts was a gnat. Yes a little gnat got in there, got fried, and made for a near perfect insulator. I cleaned him out and it worked like a charm again. I don't know if that helps, but one thing for sure is that it doesn't take much to ruin the operations of some of these systems. Leave no stone unturned.

I have a 99 Intrigue and had the same problem. In the front compartment on the drivers side is the hydraulic pump which drives the slide. There is a white wire that runs to the brake controls. That had broken on me and the pump would not operate. There is also a fuse in the line to the pump. That may have gone.
If the ground lead is bad, you can test it by running a wire to the connection on the pump and then grounding it against the frame of the coach. Good Luck,

Gary,

If your travel light is still on, it indicates that your leveling jacks did not extend. That light goes out when the first jack goes off the limit......., I'm assuming you still have jacks on a '98. My '97 does.
The slide won't extend if the jacks are not down and the coach is not level.

I have a 98 Intrigue and I have had the same problem. The problem I had was the pressure switch for the parking brake failed. Don't panic, this switch just sends a ground to the HWH leveling module. The switch is located in the forward compartment under the driver's window. There are three pressure switches , in a row, that look like they have two bolts on them. They are above three brake litght switches, also three, tho at are round. All six switches are located on a metal plate. The center top row switch is the emergency brake switch. If you run a wire from the switch to a ground, the switch will signal the HWH module and you can then operate your slide. You can order a new switch from CC. It is not hard to change out.
