CC Quality Problems

Yahoo Message Number: 17249
Having read all of the recent posts about CC quality, we just had to add our 2 cents worth. We have owned our 2002 Allure for three years and have had just about every problem mentioned - plus a few more.
We learned very quickly that no matter how nice the approach (even at rallies), the coach warranty is exactly as stated - one year for 2002 models. However, many of the components had longer warranties, and we were able to get results from some of those suppliers.
Many friends have coaches from other manufacturers and we've heard of end-of-warranty situations as well as two years after the fact repairs. There is no logic with any company that we have seen.

Our attitude is that things will go wrong and we just have to deal with them as they occur. We have had the transfer switch fail, the transmission interface fail, two ignition solenoids fail, three ride height valves fail, slide seals fall out, etc. etc. This list coesn't even cover the small things such as lamp housings, door hinges, the ice maker, and so on. We simply locate a source for the necessary part and replace it. The stationary house we built several years ago had essentially no warranty and we learned to just expect things to go wrong.

If CC were to offer more warranty repairs we would be totally surprised.
