You need to extend your slide, remove your mattress and the complete carpeted cover and the fun starts. You need to remove as many screws as you can from the plywood, then undo the hex head screws for your slide frame. You will need a helper with a pry bar or a bottle jack to slightly lift the slide frame to get the plywood out. Feel across the back of the carpet beneath the rear drawers to remove more phillips screws. With all the screws removed, lift the carpet and slide the assembly out from under the slide. You will see a row of hex head screws along the back of the wall with the carpet out of the way. This should expose what you want.

If you have a chassis wiring diagram, your problem is probably a bad connector. It is probably dirty, loose or corroded. You may be able to reach the connector from under the coach or from the rear access without taking inside apart.

Thanks for the info... a bit more involved getting to the engine than my old Intrigue!

I have really been struggling trying to get the tach fixed. CC tells me that the data signal is coming from the ECM, then they tell me the alternator, then the ECM? nobody really seems to know. At this point I need to check the signal from the ECM tachometer + port; at the tach the signal line read -5 volts and never varies so something is wrong. The silverleaf displays the RPM?s correctly, but it uses the data lines from the ECM rather than the tach voltage line.

Anyway, thanks for the advice.

slide underneath the coach and look for the tach sensor on the bellhousing, I believe it reads the ring gear teeth... it may also be on the front side of the bellhousing visible from the rear of the engine compartment
