HWY 2 ACROSS WASHINGTON STATE

Yahoo Message Number: 17790
We are currently visiting Anacortes, WA, and will be heading to eastern Washington later this month. We are considering taking Highway 2 east thru Leavenworth and Wenatchee rather than I-90. Anyone taken this route in a motor home lately? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, Tom and Bobbi

Hwy 2 in a motorhome is no problem. The scenery is beautiful.
It's two lane most of the way but good road with passing lanes. I would call 511 before you start your journey just to make sure no fires or accidents have done anything to hinder traffic. If you haven't been to Leavenworth before, consider a stop. There's a nice campground in Monitor, WA called Wenatchee River Park that can handle your rig.

We made this trip 2 years ago and loved it. Stephens pass is GRAND! The route is crowded if you hit it wrong but you will enjoy the great scenery. Please leave time to stay in Levenworth. Neat town, good eats, lots of fun.

Stevens pass is a very beautiful drive. The road has quite a bit of two lane, but is just fine for motorhomes. You will see some very nice scenery on the way. At the top of the pass is the ski resort. Not operating this time of year, but nice view. You will enjoy the trip.
