Recalls

I have two recall on my '00 Magna. One is for two bolts on the hydraulic pump bracket. No big deal. The other is for a redo of the front air hoses. I have tried to get the parts from CC but they say the supplier is having trouble keeping up with deliveries. Beaudry has ordered the parts for me but CC doesn't know when to expect them. Has anyone had this recall completed? I'm getting tired of waiting before I take another trip. Jerry in NM

Dear Jerry,

I was reading my mail and noticed your comments about the recall on your magna 2000. I also have a magna 2000 36ft 385 cat with gallery slide and I would like to ask you about the info on the recall's. I have not been notified yet though did on the two front tires of toyo and had them replaced in october. Thanks Jerry for any info you can share...Paul

Hi,

I have '00 Magna 5762, a 36' galley slide. I had just completed my front tire recall in Dec. when the recalls about 1) potentially rubbing brake hoses and 2) hydraulic pump mounting bolts arrived.
I requested the parts be sent to me. They arrived last week, about 3 weeks after ordering them. Travelynx here is doing the installation work now. I'll post something if there are any issues.

For anyone interested (and everybody should be) here is a good source of recall information for motorhomes. Recalls of many products can also be found on this site.
I don't know if it covers ALL recalls but it will go a long way in keeping tabs on things.

I was just looking through a website, and discovered that several CC coaches have had recalls. This is to inform those that that have NOT been informed. Both of them seem to be on the serious side.
Lexa, Manufactured 11/2001-5/2002: 8 coaches Windshield wiper assembly and motor. This one pertains to the fact that over 55 mph in the rain, it is believed that the current set-up will leave the driver without enough visibility, possibly leading to a crash? Coach: Lexa, Magna Manufactured 2/2002, 6 coaches, Generator Slide- out Actuator. This one, from what i understand, means that if you stop suddenly, the generator slide-out will keep going? or that if you are not on a level surface, it will slide-out even though you have not actuated the slide-out.

I got this information from the RVtraveler newsletter, from their recall link.
