Troubling Paint Shop in Oregon

Yahoo Message Number: 20196
Anyone have dealings with ABC RV [a small paint shop]in Albany Oregon? I had some touch-up work that was not done properly this summer and was scheduled to return for the fix just after Thanksgiving. The shop cancelled my appointment due to taking on another 'paying job' that was to carry over into my time slot. [yes, I paid in full and found the fish-eye clear coat afterwards] We re-scheduled to stop on our way south and have the touch-up to the touch-up. Just got a call from the painter [yes it is Christmas day] saying that their furnace is broken, has been since last week, and they may not have it repaired in time for my appointment. Two things come to mind;

One, thanks for the heads-up but if the furnace broke last week why call me Christmas day?

Second, does this shop really do over-flow for CC and if so, do they realize that this forum is a Powerful voice for both Pro or Con.

As it stands now I could not recommend this paint shop!
Fool me once shame on you--Fool me twice shame on me--comes to mind.

I guess I could call their bluff but hanging Oregon waiting for a confrontation when sunny-warm Arizona calls sounds like no fun.

Just a heads-up that if you need body and paint work done in the Oregon area, don't let a too busy paint shop send you off to ABC.

When I was up in JC this summer having some warranty work done, I had some paint work needed on one of the bay doors. Country Coach tried to send me to the ABC paint shop on my way out of town. I opted to leave and get the work done later because I needed to get on the road. Now, I am glad I did. Long story short, CC DOES USE ABC FOR OVERFLOW WORK.

Sorry to hear your problem. You could do others some benefit if you alerted CC to the issue. That might also attract some useful action your way.
