Anyone here using Centramatic wheel balancers on fronts?

If so, do they work and which model did you use on the fronts. I'm having a problem figuring out which model to use on my 1998 Allure 36'. I have the chassis with the Cummings engine.

Thanks.

We have run them for 2 1/2 years, 50,000 miles and we really like them. We have them on front and rear of our 99 Magna and also ran them on our 96 Intrigue but I can't remember the model. If you give them a call they will get you just the right ones for your application. 800-523-8473 or 817-783-6396

We also have run them for four years, about 40,000 miles on two different coaches and had very good luck with them. Highly recommend.

Larry,

A google search often provides answers.
Here is a link to the company website that produces them:

Larry,

Centramatics are dynamic wheel balancers. They are helpful because it is difficult to balance large wheels/tires and if you loose a wheel weight on the road you may not know.
The website gives good info. www.centramatics.com

Caution on Centramatics

Caution on Centramatics... I spent big bucks buying and installing Centramatics on all my tires (front, drive and tag) when the coach was brand new (less than 100 miles on it). I figured if I put them on new, I'd never have a balance problem! Yikes! What a fiasco! Here is what happened...

I ordered and had the Centramatics shipped to Junction City so they would be there when we did the factory delivery on our new coach. I had them installed, then we proceeded to drive back to Pennsylvania.
I had severe vibration problems. I spent hours on the phone with the "experts" at CC and at Centramatics. No one could figure out why the severe vibration. So I finally decided to pull over in Salt Lake City and have the Centramatics removed. Results: less vibration, but still unacceptable!

By the time we got to Florida, my teeth were chattering from 4000 miles of vibration. Took the coach to Lazydays and in less than an hour, they determined that 2 of the tires had more than "the acceptable 60 thousandths of runout" (out of round). Toyo authorized two replacements at no charge because the tires were "out of spec" and Lazydays installed them. Results: much less vibration.
Then I had all 8 tires removed and dymanically balanced at Lazydays.
Results: PERFECTION... no vibration of any kind.
Moral of the story: Centramatics MAY solve vibration caused by tires out of balance, BUT they will NOT solve vibration caused by tires out of round! When tires are out of round, the vibration actually gets worse with the Centramatics!

I'm not bad-mouthing Centramatics... in fact I think they are a good product. I just had a bad experience because I expected them to solve ALL balance problems.

I never had them re-installed - sent them back to Centramatics for a refund. I found the experience so frustrating that I'll probably just keep using the old fashioned spin balance (for balance) and tire shaving (for roundness) to keep my ride smooth as silk.
