Have Anyone, files a LEMON law suit against Country Coach

I am filing a lemon law suit against Country Coach and would like to know what others have to say?

I own a 2004 Allure and it has been in the repair shops for over 150 days with continual
repairs for major structural issues like 4-radiators, 12 shocks, windshield issues, water leaks throughout the coach where i must use plastic trays to catch the water, black sout from the engine compartment, and smell and ALOT MORE. It has gone to the factory and everywhere they suggested with NO success. Enough is enough.

The owner has never posted anything except here on this site that I'm aware of. Seems that there is more to this story than what we have so far.

4 radiators and 10 shocks ?? Would sure get my attention.

This guys name is Steve and he has modified his coach to by adding lots of cabinetry to carry thousands of lbs of beads. He has created his own problems.

Steve Mendelson was at the show in Indio last week I can credit two sales I made to him ;-). People see it at shows and inquire.

Here is the other side of the story Steve misplaced. This coach is extremely overweight and in commercial use. The owner goes to numerous RV shows (and others when he is not in Junction City) and retails beads. He had extra cabinets installed in his coach all along one side with numerous drawers full of beads. His bays are all full of plastic tubs, full of beads. Country Coach has done and an enormous amount of warranty and post warranty good will work for this guy and when he kept having the same problems over and over, they weighed his coach. He was told it was overweight and continues to operate his coach this way. How many of you have broken 12 plus "Koni" shocks in less than 2 years?

Anytime you buy a coach and place it in commercial use it voids the manufacturers warranty, regardless of the manufacturer. Even though Country Coach is aware of this they still honored his warranty and then some.

We have not had any problems with the windshield or much of anything else, (so far).

We have a 40 foot quad.

We have heard that the 42 foot Intrigues had had windshield problems because the front Cap had been installed out of square.

The final or best solution was to rebuild the front end.
What model (length)is your coach?

I was going to suggest the same thing...have CC check the position of the front cap, but it looks like they have already. We had the same problem with our previous coach (not a CC). The cap looked straight horizontally and vertically, but one side towards the bottom was not even with the other side and bulged out. Was hard to see, but once they figured out the problem it did stand out. The removed the front cap and repositioned it and that solved the windshield cracking problems and the dash, cap and glass fit much better.

Joe, our number is really close to yours and so far (knock on wood) we have not had any windshield problems. We are on #2 radiator as the original leaked for three days in October. It was a small leak but the factory wanted to install the radiator upgrade. Is your coach a Cummins or CAT?

So far we found out that there was no structural supports between the cap and the steel frame. About 2" space. We had the dash pulled out and some ply wood was cut and glued and screwed in place in order to give the front cap some integrity. The new windshield lasted about two days. Now they are going to pull the windshield out again and install supports in the upper portion of the cap in an attempt to strengthen the top.

How would that cause his radiator to fail 4 times? Just curious, it appears that anytime a lemon owner posts he is immediately peppered with such comments. You must know that many of these coaches come out of the CC factory with far too many defects for could be easily elimated if they would just spend a fraction of their marketing budget on a QC program.

I for one would like to see someone get their attention so that they will cut out the bs and actually do what they profess to do. Build the world's finest motorhome.

I love it when you make excuses for the defects in CC mothorhomes.
Over the years, they've put out coaches with so many problems that you wonder why they even claim to have a QC department.

I'm thinking of the many charge air cooler problems, the many leaky radiators, the many delaminated doors, the electrolysis problems, the leaky slide outs...the Inspire windshields that were improperly installed.

You'd do the industry a lot of good as one of their top salesmen by pushing CC management to establish a "real" QC program so that owners don't have to spend months or years in service centers trying to get manufacturing defects removed. Just a thought, you might even make more sells if you did that.

Good luck! Looks like your problem is different that what we had on our SOB. Hope they can get yours fixed. I feel lucky ours was finally figured out and taken care of. No more problems since then. Traded in that coach about 2 years ago and ran into the new owners last week. It is doing great.

My two cents worth.

It appears this fella Steve has issues with his coach and he will sooner or later resolve them with Country Coach. Sorry to see that he has gone to the extreme of decorating his coach with lemons. But, from the information post by numerous members of this group, it appears Steve is abusing his coach. 7,000 pounds of beads? Let's say, like any vehicle on the road, there are weight limits. If a truck is weighed at a state weight station and they are over weight, there is a fine and often the truck is partially unload to meet the state weigh limits. From my limited knowledge, it sounds like Steve is way over the weight limit for his coach? All those broken shocks is very scary. He could be a threat to others on the road.
Considering that he has all that weigh on one side of the vehicle???? In cabinets? He could be causing his frame to twist. It just might be he's causing the mounts of the radiators to cause the failures. Who KNOWS?.
I hope at this time, Steve would get rid of the Coach and get a truck to haul around all those beads(weight).
Well Ray, I think this case is unusual, AND I agree with you on CC and the quality problems we hear about. But I don't think this one is just a Country Coach quality problem. For the most part, CC coaches are pretty good, just so damn many things that can go wrong.

I hope we never come close to this guy on the road, he is dangerous. But He is not alone, there are many people out there who do not believe the limits that the manufacturers place on this equipment.

Boy, I've lurked on this board for a few years. This is one of the craziest things I've heard done! What does a 42' '05 Intrigue cost...$400,000+? We were just looking at some at Wheelers in Las Vegas.
I can't believe the company would attempt a jury rigged, duct tape repair like this, and expect you to be satisfied. Maybe some baling wire will help!

I wouldn't settle for this repair.
