US Gear Unified Brake

I am installing one of these "toad" brakes, any suggestions??

We had one installed on our Jeep. I think that finding a spot for the solenoid in the car was the hardest part as on our Cherokee there is no room under the front or rear seat. They installed the solenoid up high by the passenger foot room and ran the cable across the car. If you have adjustable pedals make sure you do the install with the pedals all the way toward the seat. Also, we have two wires to connect on the Jeep, a 7 way for the brake lights etc and a 2 wire for the brake system. Since I only need 5 wires for the toad lights, I'm going to use the spare two wires in the 7 wire for the two brake wires.

I did my own installation a few years ago in a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. I took my time and spent a full weekend to complete it. It is not difficult as long as your follow the written directions carefully.
The orientation of the gain control/2-axis accelerometer in the coach is critical and you should mount it where it is within the 0- 30 degrees as possible.

I mounted my actuator along the left side of the passenger seat and fed the cable under the carpet to the break peddle. I tapped into the breaklight switch wiring under the dash in the coach. Take your time and you should have no problems.

Thanks, I've already lost the control module and US Gear is sending
me a replacement.

Are you pleased with the braking etc.?

With a 42000 lb coach and a 4500 lb car, I don't seem to notice the Jeep braking. I have the gain set light so the Jeep doesn't try to brake harder than the coach. My primary reason for installing the brake system is for the brake away capability and panic stops where the Jeep brakes do seem to assist. The control module was bad on ours as the install time (last March) and US Gear replaced it also.
The bad control module was discovered while testing the setup as part of the install.
