Headed for Kino Bay/San Carlos, Sonora. Any suggestions for good places to stay or restaurants?

Richard, we just came from there. The road to Kino Bay is under construction,I would avoid it. San Carlos is great, the El Mirador RV park is a great place, but be forewarned: If you do not have reservations, the caravans come in and you will get kicked out. If that happens, go to the Playa de Cortez hotel/RV park in Guaymas. It is off to the right, on a road that comes off the main highway going to Guaymas. Look for the signs, it is right before you go under an underpass. Directions from 2004 Trailier Life Book: From junction of Hwy 15 & Col Miramar, W 1.7 mi on Col Miramar (E). As for restaurants, there are some good ones along Hwy 15 just prior to Col Miramar, on the left (South) side. Of course, the restaurant at El Mirador is good, but expensive. Hope you have as good a time as we did!
