Re: [Country-Coach-Owners] Flagstaff to SedonaWhich road are you referring to? The small windy one? I forgot the #. We did it in our 40' SOB with a small toad and we were glad there wasn't much traffic. We spent a lot of time taking up both lanes around some tight corners. I'd never do it in my 42' CC with the larger toad. We'd go south on I-17 to the Sedona exit and back track a bit north to get to Sedona next time.

Hi Sue,

You have it right. We were thinking of the smaller one but after your note will do as you suggest. Thanks.

I have taken that road in the 40 footer I owned prior to my short Allure. This road is a narrow one with many cars and pedestrians on the side of the road with a steep decent for most of it's length. If you have a really good auxilliary brake, great perception of where your coach is on the road and nerves of steel, it is no problem.
Going up toward Flagstaff would be much easier.
It is do-able but only you can assess the risk relative to your skills.

I wouldn't advise it. I did it twice before seeing a posting for nothing over 40' on the Oak Creek Canyon Rd. Bent my safety hooks on the hairpins and scared the **** out of the wife. Take I-17 down and over to Sedona. That aside, it is breathtaking beauty abound, all of Sedona is.

I just left Sedona about three weeks ago, stayed for almost 8 days. I have taken the road down once. Slow not recommended as turns in some place are real sharp. The way around is down 17 toward Pheonix and then turn in, I have forgotten the highway number. The drive is really beatilful, take it in your tow car after you have set up, much better.

Thank you,
