Article states that ALL 2006 Hondas and Accords CANNOT be flat towed.........
Nice review was written on new Intrigue with Cat C-13 averaging 8 +/- mpg over 1000mile+ review trip. But who knows mhow much cargo was on board.

I just bought a 2006 CR-V and the manual states it can be towed and I've towed it.

I confirmed that the owners manual states that a 06 CRV can be towed.
In fact they make the statement that if you are going to tow behind a "motorhome" .etc.etc...

I also called FMCA and they are researching the issue. They think that there was some mis-communication and that FMCA and Honda were not on the same page, so to speak, and that most of the Hondas can be towed...

I've done a little research and found out that just like Toyo, Honda is limiting their liability. Honda is not going to warranty their products in a towing situation to keep "transmission claims" to a minimum.

This holds true for Acura (Honda's luxury line). Don't know the exact cutoff but it's coming. Mechanics say there is no change in the drive line, just no warranty if you tow.
I suspect a few "dumb" owners fried their trannies and Honda was not able to place blame where maybe it should have been placed. Decided like Toyo to limit their loss and get out of the RV liability segment.
