Disconnect Switch

Joe, Gary. The switch that I used is a Cole Hersee M284. Rating is 175 amps continuous, 1000 amps intermittent. Not cheap, like 50 + bucks. You will also need a large battery cable ( diameter ) that matches the dia of your pos lead. Battery shops will make it up for you. I used a 14 inch, but am not sure that will work for you. I installed the switch in the balkhead between the inverter and battery compartments.
The switch has a threaded shaft and I just drilled a hole with a hole saw. The switch has nuts to secure. Then unhooked the pos lead from the disconnect relay ( inside door switch ), then to the new CH switch and from the CH switch ( new cable ) to the relay. In our coach, the batteries and relay are close together in the same compartment. Make sure you have the house batteries unhooked and be careful with wrenches around the batts so as not to short out anything. I have not had any start up problems with any units, but do not have hydro hot. Before I bought the switch, I tried just unhooking the pos lead on the batt and let the coach go for a few days.
Then tried all the systems and found no problems. You could try this to see if there is an issue with the hydro hot. I bought the switch from an RV Dealer ( Lazydays ) but also found it at West Marine and a large Ace hardware. CH web site might help too.
