Leaks

Walt,

I, too, am having a problem getting a leak stopped. Mine is somewhere over the windshield. Either from the roof cap, the running lights or the windshield seal. Does this sound like your leak? Two attempts have not yet stopped the water!

My leak just showed up while returning home from Tucson in a driving rainstorm. The ceiling just in front of the rear a/c was wet, so it could be coming from just about anywhere. I recently installed venturie caps on both holding tank vents and feel sure I sealed them thoroughly, but that is the first place to look. They look ok but I 'd like for the professionals to look over the entire roof. I previously had bad leaks around the slide, but a trip to Junction City finally took care of that problem.

Hi Dick, I thought we had a leak in the front but it turned out to be condensation on the windshield that had run down to the bottom and caused a small puddle
May not be your problem but I almost came to the wrong conclusion about our problem.

One possible way to find the link ----------this takes time...........
Get your hose and duct tape..........
Put the hose in one suspected area -- insure that the water is running down in an isolated area ---tape it down if necessary. remove some to the front panels near the ceiling and monitor the area for leaks.

If none found move it the another suspected area.
Some times the leak is caused by the water pressure while driving down the road -- that is a bit more difficult to find. For that you may have to turn the hose on high pressure and spray the suspected area. Make you very closely inspect the rubber seals and caulking -- especially where the rubber ends meet.

I wish! Mine is from above the windshield. I have always had condensation to wipe up and have learned to live with it and try to ventilate as best I can.
