State Farm must really vary by state. My home, cars, etc. are with State Farm but they were more than twice as expensive on the RV as Explorer was. Plus the coverage was not as good.

Sometime ago While working on my advanced degree, I partially supported myself working as a claims adjustor for Retail Credit--- a position that allowed me to see first-hand how the various casualty companies handled their claims. State Farm, Farmers and Allstate were the poorest of the lot. More recently my office mgr's. husband was a regional claims mgr. for State Farm and left the company in disgust about how they handled claims.

Over the years I've used several companies, and have found that Progressive is about as good as any in handling claims. However, their advertizing notwithstanding, they're pricey.

All best rog
