Air leveling

The small air compressor in the left front compartment does not run automatically when the HWH level system is in auto mode while parked.
It will run if I energize the control wire. It does not seem to come from the HWH panel as the air comp. conector has nothing plugged in.
Anyone have a though before I call CC?

On my '98 Intrigue, the air compressor I think you are referencing has nothing to do with the HWH like I had thought as well. All it does is create vacuum for your dash heat/air controls. If you are having problems with your HWH they have a service staff that will bend over backwards to help you. I had 1 tech on the phone for at least 45 minutes while I traced wires, tested fuses, etc. Their phone number will be in the manual and for leveling problems will be much more knowledgeable than CC in my experience.

Hope this helps.

more clarifacation............

The vaccuum pump for the dash heat/air works fine. This pump is mounted on the ledge just inboard from the HWH slideout pump.

For this pump to operate, the HWH must be set on auto level, and the engine should be off. With the engine running, the air pressure will be up all the time. The pump is started by a pressure switch going to the air tanks. The HWH looks at your level every half hour. If it requires a lot of adjustment, the compressor will go on. The compressor runs on 12 volts. I would check to see that you have power to the pressure switch first, then that when the pressure is low, the switch is delivering power to the compressor. If that all checks out, you probably have a bad compressor motor.

Hi Billy,

I have the same year & model coach. I will assume the basics here and assume you have the same 600 series air system as I have in my coach.

The button on the control panel marked "AIR" has to be pushed twice for the system to go into automatic level mode. The light next to the button will flash until it senses the status of the coach level. Once it senses the status, the position lights will come on as appropriate. If the coach is already level, the four corner lights will light for a short time and then go off indicating the coach is level. Any yellow lights indicated that position is low and the coach is not level. The computer will first decide if it is more appropriate to deflate the opposite side to level the coach. If the coach does not level, then the air pump you mentioned is supposed to then come on to try and inflate the bags to level the coach. If this is not working like this, I would first suspect the control panel and then work through the system from there.
As previously suggested, HWH can also walk you through troubleshooting the system and are great folks to work with.

Good luck....

Hi group
FYI

After doing a little simple wire following I discovered two reasons why my air pump for leveling ws not working.
1: The wire was plugged into the wrong connector. ??? 2: The wire was pinched somehow behind the false walls under the dash.
By pulling on wire I pulled it out from each direction. It was cut in two and badly smashed by something. ???? I spliced the wire and put the plug into the right connnector and it now runs as it should.

Well it seems CC hasn't figured this one out. My 2002 Allure, 30,760 has had similar wiring problem. Mine was in the wiper motor circuit. Burned through two Smart Wheel controllers before figuring out the problem was caused by pinched wires shorting out. I worked serveral hours trying to trace it before giving up and having National RV in Lakeland work on it. They found the pinched wires and also said the connectors were not wired properly. Over 300 coaches later and same type problem. Whats wrong with this picture?

I will be brief. Was at CC last summer, make a very long story short, they claim to get quality out of a team. I had a GPS radio installled, guess what upon pick up camera did not work, no testing, and after a hour of waiting bad wiring.
Thank you,
