Problem with Toad

Yahoo Message Number: 1362
Hello all,

I have a '99 Explorer with 50,000 driven miles and 35,000 miles as a toad on it. I tried to get the front end aligned and was told that I needed to have some ball joints replaced. I took it to two shops and the one that gave me the lower cost is owned by a guy that I really trust as he has done mechanical work for me in years past.
Has anyone else had this problem and maybe which toad has performed the best for you? As you can see, I put quite a few miles on the vehicle, both driving and towing, so I am looking for a vehicle that will give me the best service.

I have a 97 Explorer with almost 75,000 miles on it --- ++28K as a toad. My front end has been solid and has stayed in alignment so far. Wish I could offer some help, but --------- if it ain't broken, I won't attempt to fix it.
