Norcold defrost cycle

Hi,

Does anyone know if the defrost cycle on the four door Norcold can be interrupted? On a 100 plus degree day if the defrost cycle starts it takes a very long time for the refer/freezer to recover. Will just turning it off and back on stop the cycle. I have just installed a small dc fan to hopefully help the condensation cycle but lack other options. Any ideas?
