Help !! Too much current into coach questions

Yahoo Message Number: 23713
I had an electrician wire up a new 50-amp service plug in my warehouse. I already had it in one place but wanted a plug closer to the coach. Where the coach sits now there is "regular" 110. I have been plugged into that with the 30-amp cord and a reducer to the 110 plug. So he goes and pulls wire and wires up a 30 amp plug, 3 wire 240- volt appliance service type. Not so bad as I was not there and would check it before I plug in?. trying to help, he goes and plugs it in !! So I had 240 going into the coach.
I get here today and find the reefer on propane and nothing working.

So far I've found TV's, Micro, Generator, etc all work on inverter setting. Generator I had to start from the outside. Generator is running ok it seems, but nothing works inside off 120 V.
I have checked the breakers and fuses. All seem ok. So what is burned out or where do I go to "reset" whatever I need to reset ??

I think you have a 2001 Intrigue.

You should have a Surge Guard in the bedroom closet behind a clear plastic cover. See if the Over/Under light is on. Normal operation is Line1/2 lights should be on and the other 2 lights off.

If Over/Under light is on I have no idea what to do; read the manual, but if on it probably saved your tail.

Since the 110's are working ok off the inverter, your problem is probably in the area of the 110 comming into the coach.

Richard,

You are correct on serveral points. Yes I have a 2001 Intrigue (#11224). I also have a power switch and below that a Surge Guard.
The Over/Under light was on...I turned the key off and then on and that light went out. Now only the normal two lights are on.

I think that the generator and shore power are both "outside" the power switch / surge guard ?? and that is why I'm not getting 110 into the coach via the generator. Now I did run the generator for a time and it seemed that the batteries were getting a charge. So maybe the batteries are also outside the surge guard / power switch ??

So I'll read the power switch and surge guard manuals and see what they say. I suspect that I'll be replacing one or the other.
