Need some help

I have an o4 inspire. I will try to make this short. I have lost the power to my tail lights, marker lights dash lights and park lights. The schematic shows that the wire supplying power to those lights is the number 11 brown 18 guage. The head lights are on a different wire and work fine. I traced the problem to the Smart Wheel modual or ( controller) There is no power to those lights and the module. Can't find a fuse or any reason for it to be dead. The rest of the wires on the controller seem to be hot when they are supposed to be. First question. Does anyone know of a fuse that might be inside that module that could be the problem? I can't find any fuses on the outside that could be the problem. Second question. Is there any reason I cannot unplug the 11 wire from the module and add a fused link from another location? Since this problem is before the light switch, is there any thing that can be damaged? I plan to put a fuse in the line, just in case there is a problem further down the circuit.

That doesn't sound quite right to me. The dash lights should only be controlled by the light switch, while the tail and marker lights can be 'inverted' (turned on if they are off and turned on if they are off) by the Smartwheel. So I am surprised that they are all supplied by the same wire. I'll see if I can find anything different in my diagrams

I may be off but isn't there a switch on the smart wheel to "flash lights" as other vehicles pass. Could this switch be stuck? I also have found out that there is a "toad board" on the back on my 06 allure 31432. When the new board came back lights worked on toad. Sorry that's all I got.

Thanks for the comment. Alas, I found the problem. Turns out there is a fuse in the compartment beside the drivers compt. When you look at it there is no indication there is a smart wheel fuse there. I finally got my head far enough into the compartment that I was able to see a 20 amp fuse right beside a large breaker. It was blown and all is now fixed. Thanks to all for the comments and help.
