oil pressure switch for solenoid in service bay

I have read a few bulletins of people who have failed oil pressure switches that activate the relay that connects chassis bat charging circuit with house batteries when the coach is running. I'm curious as to how widespread this problem is. Also, when these oil pressure switches fail, do they fail in a close or open position. If you know, please pass along your info.
Thanks

My old Intrigue would not charge the house batteries but I traded it off before I had it fixed. I guess the relay failed to close when the engine was running. Maybe someone else has more info. jerry in NM.

I have a 98 affinity. same problem twice with that switch. both times it was in the position that would not allow the engine to charge the house batteries.

easy to change if you know where it is.

Hi John,

I have a problem the way that contactor(relay) is mounted - it should be vertical and not horizontal.
