I am not at the rally. I am interested in the name signs you can put on the front of your coach with the suction cups. Anybody have an address or website where I can get one? Or, if you are at the rally and see a booth that offers them, I would appreciate it if you could get me a contact number.

Thank you very much,
Linda

Hi Jim & Mary Jo,

We are still in Hilton Head Island due to some urgent business, but we are going to try to come down tomorrow morning (I hope). Hope all is fun and well there; terribly disappointed that we couldn't come down yesterday.

Any update on the Rally? One of our friends is signed up but wants to make sure it's a go before they sign up for the FMCA rally in Perry.

Thanks.

Hi Linda, maybe you should call Ted Wright, President of CCI. I think his number is in the new FMCA magazine under chapter listings.

Harm

Hate to ruin your rant but we never went to a rally for free work. On our previous CC the only thing done at a rally was a new dipstick as the original was calibrated wrong. As far as our 05, we have been getting our work done at the factory since it was delivered. It has probably spent more time in service at cc than any 05 on the road. It is a tossup who has had it more, me or them. But we have always stuck with them. We have made many friends there, not only the workers and their families, but the folks we met at the various businesses that cater to RV's. I have supplied many of them with trout over the years. For us the rallies have been about meeting old friends and making new ones. What stinks is that many people that had made plans and reservations were left in the dark. Not only do we feel bad about our friends at CC, we also feel bad for RVing friends that have lost their retirement nesteggs and will no longer be able to live the lifestyle.

Hi John and Merilee,

Well said. I think the frustration of having a definite answer from CCI officials has created the atmosphere on the board here. I am one of the lucky ones, I sent CCI an email last summer to renew my CCI membership and to sign up for the Jekyll Island rally. How am I lucky? They never responded to the email so now I don't have to deal with refund or lack of a refund. So the CCI issues have not just cropped up overnight, not sure why they never responded to the email as I had previously had email from them on previous rally's.

Many of the other orphaned coach owners have been able to organize some very nice rally's without the need for coach builder assistance and I am sure that CC owners are just as creative as those SOB owners.
Just have to work at reorganizing the club in a way that doesn't require the bureaucracy issues that arise when a corporation is behind it. One of the issues is correspondence will be a lot less costly now that we don't have to support a marketing mailed piece, all that can be done via email quite effectively. Maybe if more so. One issue I would like to see addressed is getting together a detailed list of vendors who provide everything that went into our coaches. Certainly would be nice if CC would release that to us in some format so we could load it into the database here. I have been fortunate to find some independent service folks who are pretty adept at figuring out how to get parts, I will be leaning on them in the future.
