Slides-Electric vs Hydraulic in 2002 Magna?

I am now the owner of a 2002 Magna 6148, a 42 foot Resort with 2 slides. I am baffled by something: I just learned from Beaudry RV who is servicing it that it has electric slideouts in both the living kitchen and in the bedroom. I thought all of these 2002 Magna's had hydraulic slides, it even says so in the CC brochure. In fact I thought all Magna's and Affinity's had hydraulic slides. Can anyone shed any light on this? Is there any advantage to one or the other? With all the leak stories I read here, perhaps I am better off!

HI WE HAVE A 02 MAGNA ALSO WITH ELECTRIC SLIDES, CC TOLD ME I DID NOT BUT WE DO, THEY PUT ELECTRIC SLIDES ON ONLY A SMALL NUMBER OF 02 MAGNA'S. WE HAVE HAD SOME PROBLEMS BUT HWH WHO MAKES THE SLIDE'S HAVE BEEN GREAT, OUT OF WARNETY BUT STLL FIXED THE PROBLEM NO CHARGE EXCEPT FRT, GOOD PEOPLE

Hi We had one of the circute boards go bad, we had a total of 3 go bad, first they sent one that worked for a time, then the slide would not come in, after playing we go them in, and made a tripe to Iowa, and they made us a new main board, they put us up in there lot, have elect and water, very nice people, again no charge.
After that nock on wood no problems. We also bought our coach used had it for 3 years, love it, would not trade for a new one at this time.
