BEWARE KLEZ VIRUS

Yahoo Message Number: 1843
I just was notified by my Norton Security that I was "hit" via the KLEZ virus. It was "carried" via the CC Yahoo Forum email. I'd read where it is still floating and had prior hits by it.
"The virus emails itself from infected machines using a bogus "From" address randomly plucked from all email addresses stored on an infected computer's hard drive or network."
My PC came to a halt, mouse inoperative, etc with the WARNING of the presence. Of the options Norton gave me, I chose to QUARANTINE it by hitting the "Q" key, and followed the succeeding prompts.

Before becoming accusative among ourselves over this illusory beast, info on its character can be found at www.wired, com >>> type in KLEZ >>> click SEARCH.

I would appreciate input / help from others more knowledgeable than I on this.

BEWARE and UPDATE your PC SECURITY.

for those of you who do not have anti-virus protection on your computer, you are at grave risk of destroying everything on your hard drive. I have been using McAfee (McAfee.com) for 2 years. I pay 29.95 a year for their virus clinic and it keeps me constantly and automatically updated to latest virus. Cheap money for this kind of protection. Whenever I open an email with a virus, the virus program alerts me to it and lets me delete it before it is opened. I have received 5 virus emails from the CC forum in the last two days so the KLEZ virus is spreading. This virus is not as bad as some, but I have heard of people who have lost absolutely everything on their computer..if you don't have some kind of anti virus program...that should be your very next purchase.

Is it true that people who don't use an anti-virus program also don't use a fuel filter on their coach? My point should be obvious! I have Norton and was saved from any damage. I class the expense for Norton as other insurance.
