Hi, we have an Allure 07, model 470. We had a sani con on a boat years ago.

Anyone have this and using it satisfactorily or do you like the regular sewer connections. there is both available in the 2007 allure 470.

Put one in our 04 Allure. No problems and would definitely do it again.

After trying the standard sewer hose, I switched to the Sewer Solution which worked well, but used a lot of water. Both systems required you to connect and disconnect them each time you emptied the tanks. In both cases the hoses were annoying to handle.
I purchased the Sani Con about 18 months ago and have been real please with it. It is so much cleaner (read sanitary) and easy to use since it remains connected to the discharge pipe. I would not have been this pleased with it if it had not been for the new very flexible hose they have. Twenty feet of this one inch hose fits in my very small puka under the discharge pipe. If it wasn't for this new hose, I would have probably passed on the unit. Another neat thing is being able to back flush the grey water into the black water tank, thus enhancing the actual flushing of the black tank. If you leave some of the grey water in the black tank while you drive to your next destination, it will assist in cleaning the black tank side and sensors.

FYI, Thetford recently Sani Con.

Dee, I don't have one in my current CC, but I did in my '05 SOB. It worked very well, no muss, no fuss. The only negatives I found was it takes a little longer to dump, especially grey water. I understand some are set up with a grey water bypass which would be nice. The other negative was it was a little noisey. I tried not to use it early in the A.M. when parked close to another rig. If I had a choice, I'd definately get it again.

Hi:
I have Sani Con on my 2007 CC. I like it. There are times I use the old fashioned hose...one night stops for example. Other wise the Sani Con is great.

Tks Bob. We had one on a boat years ago so I'm sure they've improved them.

Do you know of many campgrounds that don't want you to use them? or are they universally accepted?

I was under the impression some camp grounds and/or resorts won't let you use them. Maybe the information I have heard (most likely a rumor) is incorrect.

Though we could just use the sewer hose if this actually happened.

Hi:

I have not had anyone complain or not allow me to use Sani Con. I cannot imagine why they would not allow it. It does not put bulk into their system. Keeps their pipe cleaner.

It was most likely the Sewer Solution that became controversial because it used a lot of water. It pumped the tanks utilizing the eductor principle (water flowing through a constriction causing a vacuum, thereby draining the tank more rapidly).
