Help and advice will be needed

Yahoo Message Number: 35345
Hi. My name is Jerry Wessel. I have been monitoring this forum for several years. I am getting involved with a 1995 CC Intrigue. We have a missionary friend and a family is donating their motorhome to this couple. The coach has 157,000 miles and the last two years has been mistreated, so I will have some work to do. The owner tells me the engine is a Cummins 300hp, which I am assuming is a ISB. I am also guessing the transmission is a Allison 5 speed. I am not a novice to Motorhomes, as I have a 2000 American Tradition. Yes it is another brand. But I have friends with CC coaches. Any advice or information will be well received. You can either respond here or direct at gwessel@.... Again I appreciate any and all help and advice you can give. I am told the belt is off the chassis air system, so I will have to check that out. The owner says it has two house batteries, will two more fit? I am told it has a 2000 watt inverter.
Does anyone know the make they used? Again thank you. The new owner is not very well up on maintaining or using a motorhome. His present one is a Thor residency which is in very good shape.

Jerry,

I follow the AC Group and know you are an active poster there. I think we have some members here that have a CC of that year and can be of help on questions and you can always call or E-mail CC Tech. support with questions.

Get the serial number off the engine and call Cummins and they can verify the engine. The serial number may also be listed on the back of one of the bathroom cabinet doors.

Here is a link to the spec sheet for that year and may be of some help to you.
