CC Rally

Just wondering........ How many of you here are going to the CC Rally at Eugene, Oregon at the end of this month? I have sort of made plans to go, but won't know anyone there.
Will be nice to see some of the people from CC again; as I bought my Affinity factory-direct.

The Rally runs from July 25th to July 30th?, I think. To find out for sure, please check out CC's website. "http://www. CountryCoach.com"

Hi,

You won't be the only 1st timers attending the home coming rally. C.C. really gives first timers the grand treatment. There is a meeting for new people the first day of the rally. You are right about the dates except everyone gathers at the shopping mall the day before, the 24th (that is a party also) and caravan to the fair grounds on the 25th.
This will be our 4th or 5th rally and we enjoy each one and it is a time when we get to see some people that we haven't seen in a year. C.C. also does a great job on service at the rally. We have talked to some of the employees doing the service work and this is a time that they actually get to see some of the finished coaches and enjoy their time away from the factory. Also, attend the seminars, like this group, you can obtain a lot in information from questions asked by other coach owners See you at the Rally!

If there are enough of us, it would be nice to "meet up with each other" for a brief face to face meeting!

They have a CC Family Reunion each year and the CC Owners Club has pre-rallies before each FMCA and several other options each year.
Since you are a new CC owner no need to worry, but like us, we went to our first CC Reunion with a 2 year old CC Concept and left with an order for a new CC Prevost. They're kinda addictive like.

We will be there. In fact I am writing this note from the CC visitor lounge right now as we have made a short stop in JC prior to going up to Anacortes,WA.

There is a CCI rally in Fort Myers, Florida, in January 2002, and in the spring there is usually a rally in Perry, Georgia. Those are the two I know of on the East Coast. There is also a pre rally to the FMCA National Convention. Contact CC Club person at the main office and she will send you a schedule or the magizine. There are also some small FMCA CC chapters. We happen to belong to the Country Cousin's, which has 50 members from up and down the east coast. We do 2 rallies per year, but these rallies do not have factory representation.

Damon,

I enjoyed meeting you in Mn. although I spent more time there than hoped due to Thetford's sending the wrong parts for my leaky toilet.
I was, however, most impressed with your service people and was astounded to learn the nice lady ( Bonnie ) behind the service counter is the owner of the dealership! This tells me service is quite important at Shorewood and I have written to FMCA magazine expressing these sentiments.

My new Allure performed and drove superbly on this 3800 mile trip. As I said the first time I saw it, the new Allure is superior to either the '97 or 00 Intrigues I owned. One thing I learned the hard way the last day of our trip is that the Cummins engines are equipped with a fiberglass oil pan. I got into a situation where I lightly ( or so I thought ) scraped bottom and had oil on the rear of the coach when I got home. It was my own fault as I had raised the tag to make a sharp turn int a vacant gravel area to stop for lunch. If I had lowered the tag immediately I probably wouldn't have scraped bottom. The coach is now at a local Cummins dealer waiting on a new pan. Is this use of fiberglass pans common?
