Maybe it is just me, but I am not sure I understand the Poll? I assume that is suppose to be how many have/have not had a failure with the PTO? You show 84 votes, but just 16.80% with no failure vs 2% with failure., what happened to the other 80 some %? Like I say it is just probably me, that I don't understand, so can you give me some light on this subject? Marvin, 07 Allure 470, 31459, ISL 400..

Thanks for the responses. We didn't understand it either. We only recall one time when we could have responded and missed doing that. We did replace our PTO, 06 Inspire, and it needed to be done according to the mechanic. Thank you for your efforts.

This poll, started by a member, where really lots of questions rolled into one. Failure? Model? Year? Mileage? It allowed multiple answers. The mean has no meaning (sic). Neither does the percentage. Just look at the total numbers.

Additional comments about this poll started by a memeber. It does not show which model(s) had the failures, nor how many miles their failing coach had on it when it failed. Probably the only meaningful information is the number of failures in this sample, and how many changed to (or had) WET-PTOs before they voted.
It does show that out of the respondents, more than 10% reported PTO failures (so far).

I am going to replace our PTO next week. The mechanic said it looked ok but it was dry after 62,000 miles. He looked at the pump and said it looked ok but after 62,000 miles maybewe should replace. Does anyone have any comment on what hey would do or have done.

The reason the % so not make sense is they are the %s of all the questions. They should really be isolated for each area, as:
For the population of 92 RVs that had failures they broke down in the following mileage ranges

less than 10k is 7 rigs 8%
10k is 20 rigs 21%
20K is 27 rigs 29%
30k is 23 rigs 25%
40k is 15 rigs 16%

I'm off a little bit in rounding the %s, but close enough.
