Larry and Judy:

I've had good experiences with the Caterpillar dealer in Tucson located by I-10 off Prince. Their name is Empire Power Systems and they have locations in Tucson, Phoenix, Flagstaff and other cities in Arizona. I also had an excellent repair to my turbo piping at their Phoenix site though I have seen one other post on this website where the experience was apparently bad at that location. I'd give you their address and telephone number, but I am currently in Oregon and don't have it available. They are listed in the phone book.

Here I go again changing the subject. I drive a 04 Intrigue and had Les Schwab replace my Toyo 12 R's today with Michelin XZ2 12R. Oh my what a difference At least 6db quieter and what noise was in a different spectrum less offensive to the ear. The ride is smoother with the tire at 120 Lbs up front versus 110 lbs for the Toyos. Small bumps and ribs in the pavement disappear, but the normal bumps are still there with less initial percussive attack. Steering is slightly slower but the tender to wander slightly is gone. It's not as big an improvement as when we replaced the co-pilot and pilot seats with 2007 Magna seats; but is pretty close. I no longer have to envy you guys and gals with the newer coaches with XZ2A's. TOM/CAROL 2004 Intrigue 11731

Hi all. Jeanne and I are new to Country Coach, having just purchased our motorhome 2 weeks ago (owned Monacos before). With just over 11,000 miles and some of the stuff still in the box it appears this rig got close to no use. Anyway we've experienced a series of electrical aggravations and hope this group can shed some light or provide direction.
The Silverleaf Total Coach System apparently does not register the amp draw of many components. Am I missing something or do I need to tally amps from a cheat sheet? For example how many amps does the heated floor draw - I don't have a clue?
The generator had 80 hours when we got it . . . hardly used. It has been balky at times to start. The "start" switches in the coach didn't get it going on most tries so I've resorted to using the rocker switch on the generator to prime and start, with good luck. Prime/start - that's the way I learned to start the Onan 8000. Apparently you can't prime/start from inside. Untimely the balky starts created an error code in the Silverleaf, so I've reboot the Silverleaf twice to clear the system. Is there another problem? One time with the generator running nicely and with generator fault codes showing on the TCS I rebooted the Silverleaf, which cleared the faults. Bam, a minute later the generator stopped and the fault code was back!

I've had to reset the Xantrex RS2000 to clear fault codes.
Enough! Am I my own worst enemy here or is it a run of unfortunate events or is there a deeper problem? Calls to Silverleaf have not been fruitfull.

Re total amp draw, the only way I know of seeing this is if you are on generator, then the EMS panel will show the draw.

On the gen, the only thing that comes to mind is that if the auto- start is set and the batteries are at full charge it may not start or may start and quit right away thinking that it's not needed.

Also, you may want to try to start it from the auto-gen (on the Xantrex controller) as that allows the computer to start it.

Tom: Instead of "Changing the Subject" you really should start a new thread. For people trying to follow this thread for information on transmissions and fluid changes, this does no good.
